Rivington Outdoor Weddings!
What do you think when I say ‘micro wedding’? Unless you work in the wedding industry you may not have heard this term before - and you know what, when we got married in 2014 neither had I!
Since then micro-weddings have risen in popularity and are fast becoming my favourite type of wedding capture.
So what is a ‘micro-wedding’? Well it’s simply a smaller wedding. You’re talking smaller numbers of people which in turn means a smaller venue which in turn means a more intimate wedding. Micro-weddings are usually no more than 30 guests but usually much less.
Why do people chose a micro wedding? There’s a few reasons, you may not want a ‘big wedding’, you may have complex families and family dynamics, you may not like to be the centre of attention, you may want to save costs....the list is many!
But smaller doesn’t always mean cheaper! In fact you can spend £100k’s on a wedding for just 8 people - did anyone see the legndary Las Vegas ‘Don’t Tell the VBride’ episode (if you’ve not get it on Youtube for ultimate car crash TV and how NOT to plan a wedding) - in the end it was a beautiful wedding, a handful of epople at an exclusive venue in Vegas, amazing food and drink and cost a small fortune.
If you’re looking for a smaller wedding venue in the North West of England then make sure you go and take a look at Spring Cottage and Betty’s Tipi’s - honestly, it makes us want to get married again! Nestled away in the Forrests of Rivington, your day will be filled with greenery, nature and everything idillic of an outdoor wedding. Say your vows by the stream down on the lawn or up under the little hat, then dance the night away in one of Betty’s Tipi’s and celebrate with their absolutely delicious pizzas - I am obsessed with them!
So if a micro-wedding appeals to you then go for it, think of beautifully styled small tables with truley delicious food, exclusive venues and focus on family and close friends, no not having a moment so you speak to everyone - instead you can relish in time and the day with those closest to you.
